Complimentary First Visit

All of us at Des Moines Orthodontics are always pleased to meet new patients and welcome them to our office during their first appointment. We take pride in taking the time that is necessary to explain our procedures each step of the way. Please allow approximately one hour for your first visit.

After obtaining digital photographs and a panoramic x-ray, Dr. Peyton will perform a thorough examination in order to make a determination about your orthodontic health, whether or not orthodontic treatment is needed, and when the best time to start treatment would be. If it is determined that orthodontic care is needed, he will make a recommendation based on your specific individual need, explain the procedures involved and the anticipated length of treatment, and your approximate investment for care. Many of your questions can be answered at this time and we encourage you to ask about any of your concerns.

If orthodontic treatment is not recommended at the time of the examination, patients will be placed on a recall program to monitor their growth and development until such time as treatment is indicated. There is no charge for these recall appointments.

Your initial visit is an important opportunity for us to get to know you, listen to your concerns and find out what you wish to accomplish with orthodontic treatment.
